Models needed! Shutterbox Photos is looking for a pregnant model about 32 to 36 weeks along for a shoot. We are also looking for a newborn that is two weeks or less of age with parents who want to participate too. Both shoots will take place Saturday May 24th, 2008. Please email me for further details.

On a roll…

I’m on a roll tonight with finishing up sessions, so I thought that I would post one more cutie. I have been photographing this little girl since she was just 3 weeks old!  It’s hard to believe that she will be starting kindergarten later this fall!

I first met this little girl last summer, and it was so great to see her again!  She definitely had her own ideas about how the session would go, lol! We had quite a bit of fun running up and down the alley ways!

In the midst of cancer…

…new life arrives.  Shortly before their new baby arrived, mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I’m not really sure that I have all the right words for this post, so I think that I will have to let the photographs speak for themselves.  Mom still has a long road ahead of chemo and radiation…please send lots of prayers and positive thoughts their way.

    I just have to say that these photos are especially touching. To me, part of the BEAUTY and honesty of these photos is that they’re all three bald… and yet stunningly gorgeous, all of them. I think, too, that when Mom makes it through this (which I fully believe she will!! It’s amazing what medicine and prayers can accomplish… plus, look at that gorgeous little new life she’s holding… that will make her fight so hard!) she will be glad to have some true photos of this time of her life. Yes, the hair loss is unfortunate and I’m sure just adds insult to injury, but my goodness, with or without hair, this woman is a knock out!! I adore these photos! Such love and tenderness captured. Congratulations to them on their new baby and hopefully this can keep their spirits up during this difficult time. They’ll be in my prayers for sure! Thanks for sharing.

    I just had to come back and say that these are exactly the types of images that make me love the amazing gift we as photogaphers are blessed with. I teared up when I first saw them, I teared up after I left and not I am back and still tearing crying. If you ask me one month….6 months…or a YEAR from now an image that stuck with me, THESE will be right there in my memory of something beautiful and amazing. Model Mania (part 1)

I have been knee deep in photographing the SBP spokesmodels for 2009.   All of these soon to be high school seniors were so much fun!!!  We are still accepting applications as well, so if you are currently high school junior in the greater Seattle area, please give me a call or send over an email to inquire for further details!

First up is Katy…Katy is always so much fun to photograph!  She even participated as a model in a photography workshop last year! She is a pro!

Next, this is Sam.  The last time that I photographed her…I think that she might have been 12?  Wow, she has sure grown!

And…next, is DeeJay - she got her nickname from the little girl on Full House! I loved that show!
